The city of Tuscaloosa joined many other communities around the country to host its first Lemonade Day last month to teach young children the values of entrepreneurship by helping them build and sell lemonade from their own stand. More than 100 kids from Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas set up stands all over town on June 18. The community supported threw a lot of support behind the event and the young entrepreneurs showed off the creativity with unique lemonade stands and drink flavors. Lemonade Day also benefited the YMCA of Tuscaloosa County, which was one of the event’s community partners.
